Appointment of New Chairman

Board Resignation and Appointment of Chairman

BCD Resources NL (ASX: BCD) advises that Chairman, Mr Neville Bergin, has tendered his resignation as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 24 August 2011. Mr Bergin is General Manager - Projects Development for Minemakers Ltd (“MAK”) and wishes to focus on MAK’s Wonarah Project and other MAK interests.

Appointment of Chairman

Mr Mike Botting, currently a non-executive Independent director of BCD Resources NL, has been appointed as non-executive Chairman. Mr Botting, a mining engineer with a strong understanding of the Tasmania Mine, is currently CEO of Morningstar Gold NL. He has over 26 years of underground and open pit mining experience and has worked at senior mine management levels in Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland with both mining companies and mining contractors. He was previously a non-executive Director of Greater Bendigo Gold Mines Ltd.

The Chairman, Mr Botting, said: “The Board wishes to thank Mr Bergin for his contribution as Chairman and non-executive director and I wish him well for the future. Mr Bergin led the Board through some challenging times and leaves the Company in an improved state, with strong gold production anticipated in coming months. ”
